The big news here is that Baby Friess is due on May 22nd. We are very excited and you can see the scan pictures on Baby Friess' page!! Baby Friess is looking normal, everything is developing as it should be. He / she was looking very relaxed on the scan at week 13 with his / her legs crossed :o) We are looking forward to a surprise, we don't want to know the sex beforehand. Catherine is looking forward to the end of morning sickness which has been pretty horrible but the main thing is that Baby Friess is happy and healthy :o) We also have three other friends expecting babies around the same time, it's great to be able to swap stories and compare experiences.

We discovered that we were pregnant when we were staying in Lake Garda in September. We had a fantastic week's holiday. We drove through Lichtenstein to Switzerland where we stayed in a lovely Bed and Breakfast run by an English couple near Klosters and had two days walking in the Swiss Alps. We then drove via St. Moritz to Venice where we stayed for two days in a beautiful hotel. Then we spent a night in Verona, followed by a night in Lake Garda and a night in the Dolomites. We really enjoy our spur of the moment holidays where we book as we travel!

Life has been fairly quiet since we returned from our holiday. Michael went to the Volksfest with some friends and had a fantastic time eating, drinking and dancing on tables! Sabine and Thomas also visited that weekend on their way to The Black Forest to visit family. Catherine's birthday was very quiet and she didn't celebrate this year! Unfortunately we weren't able to go back to England to celebrate Wendy and Derek's fortieth wedding anniversary but they had lunch out with family followed by drinks with family and friends in the evening. Laila enjoyed playing with the balloons! She is walking now.

Christmas markets start this weekend and we need to start looking for a new car. The Cabriolet is definitely not a family car :o) We are staying in Germany this Christmas but plan to spend a couple of days in a spa hotel in Lake Constance to celebrate our wedding anniversary and then back to celebrate New Year with friends.
