Visiting Peter and Patricia

At the end of April we drove down through Switzerland and Italy to the South of France to visit Peter, Patricia and Oliver. On the way we stayed at Lake Lugano in Switzerland and stopped and ate pizza at Lake Como before taking a boat trip. We also had a very wet morning in Milan where we did some shopping. The three days that we spent in Cannes were also very wet so there were no opportunities for sunbathing on the beach! We were disappointed that we couldn't see a lot of Monaco as the weather was so bad but we did visit the casino and had a fantastic meal at the Cafe de Paris. It was lovely to spend time with everybody and also good to see Valerie and meet Caroline for the first time. We stayed with Andrea and Nicholas in Lausanne on the way back after a disappointingly wet and foggy drive through the Swiss Alps.
